For more than 40 years, Dr. Joyce E. Reed dedicated her life to being a Dentist to provide compassionate dental care for Southeast Texans. A graduate of the University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio, Dr. Reed began her career in Kirbyville before moving to Silsbee in 1990 with her daughter, Erin. There, she fulfilled her dream of creating a small-town dental practice that felt less like a clinic and more like home.

From the very beginning, Dr. Reed wanted her patients to feel comfortable, cared for, and welcomed. She transformed a house into the Silsbee Family Dentistry office—designing every detail to create a warm, homey atmosphere instead of a cold, clinical environment. Patients often say it feels more like visiting family than going to the dentist. Over the years, she has had the privilege of treating not only her original patients but also their children and grandchildren—a true testament to the trust and relationships she built.

Today, her daughter Erin continues this tradition as the office manager, carrying forward her mother’s legacy of care.
